A NEW nighttime show is coming to Disney California Adventure, and you’re not going to want to miss it.

Disney is celebrating the company’s 100th anniversary in a big way, and most of the party is happening at Disneyland. There’s a new ride opening, 2 new nighttime shows, tons of treats, and more. Now, we have even more details about one of those new nighttime shows!
If you’re planning to be in Disney California Adventure on the evening of January 27th, you might be able to catch the premiere of the World of Color — ONE show. This nighttime show features characters and scenes from Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars movies set to a musical score made up of 18 compositions. The featured song is an original piece called “Start a Wave.”

The characters and lights are going to be projected on the water, and the show will include mist screens, 1,200 dancing fountains, laser lights, flame effects, and more.

So what are the new details? According to Scott Gustin, World of Color — ONE will be the FIRST spectacular to feature “characters, music and stories from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, the Avengers and Star Wars” all in the same production.

The portion of the show about the Avengers is going to be inspired by the graphic-novel style that you’ll recognize from the end credits of Black Panther and Hawkeye. The Star Wars scenes will be in “a painterly style that is largely based on original production art from the films.”

Disney also shared some new footage that shows off some of the scenes from the show!

Don’t forget that World of Color — ONE is accessible through a virtual queue system on the Disneyland app. To access the virtual queue, you must have entered Disney California Adventure park for the day OR entered Disneyland Park with a Park Hopper ticket. At noon, the queue will open for the day in the app. If there are multiple showtimes that night, the first showtime will fill up first before they open the queue for later times.

Once you receive a virtual queue time, head over to your designated viewing area for your showtime approximately 30-45 minutes before the show begins. There will be marked entrance points so you can find your way. If you’re unable to secure a virtual queue spot, you can check with a Cast Member at the Paradise Bay viewing area before the show begins for any walk-up viewing options. You don’t have to join a virtual queue, but it’s highly recommended to ensure you get a spot!
