Disney is known for creating an immersive experience for their guests — from engaging all of your senses on Main Street USA, to opening a full-on Star Wars experience hotel.
But there’s a new level of immersive experience coming to Universal Studios Hollywood, and this time Mario Bros fans will rejoice!
Get excited, guys! Super Nintendo World will officially open on February 17th! According to Los Angeles Times, this park could be “the most participatory theme park universe ever envisioned.” Let’s take a look!
In these photos from the LA Times, you’l notice the oversized details are reminiscent of Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios, don’t you think? We can see how immersive this could feel.
Guests will get to attractions by walking through realistic depictions of the scenes in gameplay!
Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, the park’s only ride, even uses augmented reality!
The park will set a priority on interactive play, inviting guests to interact with their surroundings and engage in mini-games and challenges throughout the park.
These details make us want to bust out our old Nintendo Game Boy!
We are excited to see how this new style of theme park compares to the ones we know and love and will keep you posted on any updates as they are released!
