New Disney Munchlings are Inspired By Your Favorite Treats!

Stop what you’re doing. It’s time to look at some cute NEW Disney merch.

If you collect nuiMOs, Wishables, or tsum tsums (remember those??), you might be a fan of what Disney is releasing next…and we have all the deets!

Disney just announced the release of a NEW plush collection called the Disney Munchlings! These plushes are all themed after Disney characters and sweet treats and they look SO adorable.

According to Disney, there’s a backstory for these new plushes. Master Baker Pierre Dumonet was leaving Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom one evening when he “accidentally closed the door a little too hard,” which caused some ingredients to fall over — including a small bottle of magic. The magic spilled onto the sweets he had created that day, which is what created the Disney Munchlings!

There will be three collections included in the debut of the Disney Munchlings and they’re all scented! These collections will be called Sweet Treats, Baked Treats, and Frozen Treats.

In the Sweet Treats collection is Mickey and friends as candy, including Cool Mint Mickey Mouse, Peanut Butter Swirl Cup Pluto, Dark Chocolate Ganache Truffle Chip and Dale, Peppermint Meringue Hard Candy Minnie, and Chocolate Brownie Bar Goofy.

The Baked Goods collection includes Mickey, Minnie, Pooh, Eeyore, Stitch, and Baymax…

…and the Frozen Delights collection includes Disney Villains such as a Pain and Panic Popsicle, a Maleficent Ice Cream Cone, and more. The Disney Munchlings will be available in a 5-inch size in blind bags for $16.99 or separately sold 15-inch sizes for $34.99 each. Disney also said that there will be “special drops and chef co-labs” available for $19.99, as well as mystery characters in blind bags.

The first collections will debut at the D23 Expo Marketplace on Friday, September 9th as well as on shopDisney. They will also be available at Disneyland beginning on September 12th and later in the month at Disney World.
