We don’t know about you, but we’re ready to get in the kitchen and make another Disney recipe!

Disney frequently releases recipes to help us bring the magic of the parks into our homes. Sometimes it’s through cookbooks they release, or through recipes they share online. Now Disney has shared a recipe from one of our favorite spots in Disney World — you can make Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue’s Fried Chicken right in your own kitchen!
It’s important to be careful when making this recipe, as cooking with hot oil can be dangerous.
Ingredients
Brine
- 3 cups cold water
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 4 tablespoons coarse salt
- 1 medium chicken, cut into 2 legs, 2 breasts, 2 thighs, and 2 wings
Fried Chicken
- Canola oil for frying
- Brined chicken
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon coarse salt
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons ground white pepper
Instructions
Now let’s get to cooking! Start by combining your cold water, garlic powder, and coarse salt in a large glass bowl. Cut up your chicken, put it in the bowl, then cover and refrigerate for 8 hours.

After your 8 hours are up, heat 3 inches of oil in a heavy-bottomed pot until it reaches 350°F. Remove your chicken from the brine and pat dry before dredging your chicken in the whisked mixture of flour, cornstarch, salt, paprika, onion powder, and white pepper, making sure to cover each piece.

Place the chicken in the hot oil, and turn once while cooking. Cook breasts for 13-14 minutes, thighs for 9-10 minutes, and 7-8 minutes for legs and wings. Make sure the meat reaches an internal temperature of 165°F, carefully remove the chicken from the oil and let drain on paper towels, then enjoy!
