Listen — when we said we wanted more “spidey” representation in Disney World, THIS is not what we meant.

Over in Disney California Adventure, you can fight spider-bots alongside Spider-Man on Web Slingers. And it looks like, in Disney World, we may be fighting our own super-spiders…only they’re not robots, and they fly.
We regret to inform you that parachuting spiders are heading our way. Yes…parachuting spiders. According to WESH Orlando, the invasive Joro species hitched a ride on a cargo ship from Asia, and have settled down in Georgia.

But they’re not staying in Georgia. No…some specialists believe they may be heading down to Florida as soon as spring. Did we mention yet that these spiders are large enough to cover your palm? (Did that send shivers down your spine too?!)

We’re told they come in peace, and we shouldn’t fear these “wimpy” spiders. But we’ll be keeping our eyes on the skies this spring.
In happier news, here are the major changes we’ve seen in Disney World this year. And be sure to check out this major update on the Walt Disney World Railroad.

And, as always, stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news.
