September 8th Could Be a BIG Day for Disney+ Subscribers

Remember Disney+ Day back in 2021? Not only was there an epic amount of announcements about new Disney+ content, but there were also some unique opportunities in Disney World!

Disney+ Day celebrated the two-year anniversary of the streaming service and we weren’t sure if it would become an annual event, but today we got an answer. That’s right — Disney+ Day is coming back, but it’ll be a little different this year!

Today Disney announced the official return of Disney+ Day on September 8th, 2022! This date will coincide with the 2022 D23 Expo, which will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center from September 9th to the 11th. That means it’ll take place about a month prior to the actual 3-year anniversary.

So what can we expect from the second Disney+ Day? Last year, Disney+ subscribers were able to enter Disneyland or Disney World 30 minutes before park opening, and subscribers received free pins and hats. There were also some special decorations in the parks!

Disney+ subscribers received free PhotoPass downloads for the day (at select locations), and there were Disney+ Day Magic Shots and photo props available, too.

In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, special Disney characters appeared for the festivities! We spotted Dug, Carl, and Russell from Up, Moana, Darth Vader, and more!

The celebration wasn’t just in Disney Parks, however. Disney also announced new shows and movies and released tons of new trailers. It’s how we first learned about the spin-off WandaVision series, Agatha: House of Harkness.
