The runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend is finally here!
In celebration of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, runDisney is hosting the inaugural Springtime Surprise Weekend from March 31st to April 3rd. Disney is pulling out all the stops with fun medals and courses inspired by fan-favorite races (Expedition Everest 5K, Race for the Taste 10K, and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler). But — in true Florida fashion — there’s one detail that Disney can’t manage for the weekend!
runDisney has shared a weather update, noting that they are “actively monitoring” the weather for the Expedition Everest 5K with the forecast showing potential for severe weather in the area.
WEATHER UPDATE: We are actively monitoring the weather for Expedition Everest 5K as the forecast calls for severe weather potential in the event area. The weather update advises that the race will still go on with rain, as long as there isn’t lightning. They’ll continue to provide updates, and encourage participants to stay alert!
