Disney is a beloved company all over the world

Sometimes, Disney must make difficult decisions based on a variety of outside factors, like health and safety, climate, and current events.

In light of the current events happening in the world, The Walt Disney Company issued a statement on its upcoming theatrical film releases.  A spokesperson for The Walt Disney Company stated:

“Given the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and the tragic humanitarian crisis, we are pausing the release of theatrical films in Russia, including the upcoming Turning Red from Pixar. We will make future business decisions based on the evolving situation. In the meantime, given the scale of the emerging refugee crisis, we are working with our NGO partners to provide urgent aid and other humanitarian assistance to refugees.”

Disney noted that it will pause the theatrical release of its upcoming Pixar film Turning Red in Russia. The movie is set to premiere in the United States on Disney+ on March 11th, 2022.
