VIDEO: We Don’t Talk About Bruno, But We DO Talk About These EPIC Mashups!

Encanto has become a smash Disney hit, from the movie itself (which you can stream on Disney+) to the soundtrack making history on the music charts.

And ironically, it seems like everyone is talking about one specific song from Encanto — the ever-so-catchy “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.” Lots of fans have been having fun with the verses and melodies, creating new versions and mash-ups of the popular tune, and we just found two performances you have to hear!

In case you don’t know (and never watched Glee), a “mashup” is when you take two seemingly unrelated songs and put them together. Sometimes it doesn’t work, but when it does it can be really cool, and “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” has been BIG in the scene of mashups.

The first unique mashup of “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” that we’re talking about today was performed by none other than Dan Povenmire, who is the voice of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz in the Disney show Phineas and Ferb!

Povenmire mashed up “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” with “Smooth” by Santana and “Platypus Controlling Me” from Phineas and Ferb. You might be surprised by how well it works!

And Hamilton fans — this one’s for you! The cast of Hamilton gave “Bruno” a twist by mixing up Hamilton with Encanto, a.k.a. a Lin-Manuel Miranda inception. This is more of just a pure crossover than a mashup but it’s fantastic! Turns out there’s another person we don’t talk about. 😉
