Universal Orlando's Water Park to Close Again for Cold Weather

It’s not very often that we get to report on cold temperatures from Florida, but here we are.

However, with temperatures dropping into the low 60s the next few days in Orlando, some of the city’s water parks are closing for the chilly weather. Earlier today, Disney World’s Typhoon Lagoon removed their hours for the colder days coming up, and Universal’s waterpark is the next to join it.

Universal Studios’ Volcano Bay will be closed on Sunday, January 16th, Monday, January 17th, and Tuesday, January 18th due to inclement weather.

The closure was announced this afternoon. As of right now, the final day of the closure is Tuesday the 18th, so business should return to normal at Volcano Bay on Wednesday January 19th. We’ll keep watch of everything that happens, and update you if anything changes.

UPDATE: Universal Orlando has since announced that Volcano Bay will also close on Saturday, January 22nd and Sunday, January 23rd due to the weather.

UPDATE: Universal Orlando later announced that Volcano Bay will also close on Monday, January 24th.
