Annual Refurbishment Schedule Announced for Universal Water Rides

There are a few rides closing soon in Universal Orlando!

Universal tends to close down water rides for refurbishment during the Florida winter, and we have all the dates for the closures coming soon in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Get your calendar out if you have a trip scheduled soon!

Three of Universal’s Islands of Adventures water rides are scheduled to briefly close this winter. First is Jurassic Park River Adventure from January 10th through the 28th. This ride takes you on a raft and you might encounter a few dinosaurs along the way.

Next, Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls will close from January 31st to February 25th. This water ride is kind of a mix between a roller coaster and a water flume ride.

And Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges will close from February 25th to March 18th. This is the kind of ride that places riders in a circular vehicle that gets everyone totally soaked.
