PHOTOS: Star Wars Fans, There are 5 NEW Reasons Why You Should Visit Disneyland

Today, we’re celebrating Life Day (a little early)! What is Life Day, you ask? It’s a festive celebration that takes place within the Star Wars universe, and it has been featured in holiday specials over the years.

Technically the holiday is meant to take place on November 17th, but Disneyland is starting the festivities a little early! To celebrate Life Day this season, guests can treat themselves to limited-time menu offerings in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the Disneyland Resort. We hopped over to Batuu today to check it out!

Our first stop was at Oga’s Cantina, where we ordered two specialty menu items. The first was the Pork Belly Slider Skewer.

This item is made with Pork Belly, Bao Buns, Zucchini Suace, Calabrian Chili Compote, and Za’atar Spice for $15.

Would You Get This?

This treat was very yummy and had a great savory flavor with a kick of spice.

Another Peek

We paired that with the Tarkenian Nightflower drink (called the Gin-Huckleberry Cocktail on the online menu).

Our Drink

This drink features a mixture of Gin, Elderflower Liqueur, and flavors of Ginger and Huckleberry, with a Sweet Hibiscus Flower garnish and is priced at $18.

The drink was really tasty and had a bit of spice from the gin, which balanced nicely with the fruit flavors.

Starting today, some other treats are also available in Disneyland as part of the Life Day celebrations. At Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo, you can grab some Pork Broth Noodles.

Pork Broth Noodles

The dish is made with Angel Hair Pasta, Bok Choy, Mushrooms, Roasted Pork, and Yuzu-Tomato Compote in a Pesto-Tonkotsu Broth. It costs $15.49.

This dish was REALLY good! The pork was a little bit overcooked, but the other ingredients more than made up for that. It’s something we’d definitely get again if it is brought back in the future or sticks around on the menu for a bit longer.

There are also two new snacks available over at Kat Saka’s Kettle. First, there’s the Potato Hand Pie, which is spiced with Tikki Masala and served with a Mint-Cilantro Yogurt Sauce.

We thought this item was good and had some nice spice flavors. You can get this item for $6.79.

There’s also a Black Sesame Macaron.

This treat is made with a Passionfruit Buttercream and Sesame Praline.

The passionfruit was tart, balanced by the tartness of the praline. You can try this one for $5.49.

All of these Life Day treats are currently available in Galaxy’s Edge at the Disneyland Resort. If you want to try them, be sure to stop by for a visit while they’re still available. And follow along as we bring you more holiday updates from the Happiest Place on Earth!
