NEWS: Production Set to Temporarily Shut Down For Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ Sequel

It’s been a big year for Marvel with new releases like Black Widow and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in theaters and WandaVision and Loki on Disney+. But, there’s only more to come!

We recently got a big update on some release date delays for upcoming films like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunderand Black Panther: Wakanda ForeverAnd, while filming had already begun on the Black Panther sequel, the production has hit a roadblock.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, production for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be temporarily shutting down while star, Letitia Wright, recovers from an injury that she suffered on set back in August.

At the time, the crew was filming in Boston, though most of the production has since been focused in Atlanta.

Having shot what is said to be “all footage that [the] crew is able to without Wright,” production will likely shut down beginning the week of Thanksgiving. It is currently expected to resume sometime in early 2022.

Black Panther – Infinity War

For now, the film is still set to debut on its newest release date, November 11th, 2022. Of course, we’ll continue to keep an eye out for updates, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
