Marvel’s Eternals will be debuting THIS week on November 5th.

We’ve had quite a few Marvel debuts in theaters and on Disney+ as of late. But, Eternals is going to have a BIG debut that will help movie theaters continue to return back to normal operations!
Variety has shared that Marvel’s Eternals is estimated to bring in $75 million to $80 million in domestic box office revenue during its first three days in theaters. Eternals could even reach or surpass $85 million, according to analysts, which would make it the highest earning Marvel film during the pandemic.

Previously, we’ve seen Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings open with $75 million and Black Widow open with $80 million in theaters and $60 million on Disney+. At this point, Marvel’s partner Sony has had the biggest opening weekend during the pandemic with Venom: Let There Be Carnage at $90 million.

So far, Eternals has earned $13 million in advance ticket sales, which is 23% above Shang-Chi and 10% behind Black Widow, according to Variety. Along with the domestic box office, Eternals will also be debuting in 93% of overseas markets with a predicted $55 million or more. Similarly, Shang-Chi received $53 million and Black Widow earned $69 million in overseas markets.

Eternals will also be exclusively playing in theaters, which is expected to help the box office run like it did for Shang-Chi.

Sorry, but this is going to be Marvel’s first real bomb. Quite possibly Marvel’s (and creator Jack Kirby’s) worst property. Dull and pretentious, with the added liability of being 156 minutes. I love Marvel and their comics (reader since 1972), but they better hope this does well overseas.
I think you are going to be wrong, Tim. Even if it turns out to be one of the worst Marvel films, no way will it bomb at the box office. Remember, “Guardians of the Galaxy” had the non-comics fan wondering who they were, and now they are known globally. There are some big name actors that are going to star in Eternals, starting with A-lister Angelina Jolie.
