It’s no secret that Disney World is filled with characters from some beloved movies, but there are quite a few popular franchises that you have to travel outside of Disney over to Universal Orlando to see.
Universal features TWO lands dedicated to Harry Potter, and others featuring characters from Jurassic Park, Dr. Seuss, The Simpsons, and even Marvel superheroes. But, as the parks continue to change and evolve, Universal has announced that one long-time running show will not return.
According to Spectrum News 13, Fear Factor Live will permanently close in Universal Studios as of November 1st, 2021, joining Shrek 4D (which will close in 2022) as the latest attraction closing forever.
If you’re not familiar, the show originally opened in 2005 and featured guests participating in various challenges that were inspired by the reality TV show “Fear Factor.” However, it has been closed since the parks reopened in 2020, and the area is currently being used as the location of the Nightmare Fuel stage show during Halloween Horror Nights.
Universal has not shared any plans on what could replace the show once Halloween Horror Nights come to an end, but we’ll keep an eye out for more updates. And, in the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for more of the latest theme park news!
