Would You Wait an HOUR for Disney World’s NEW Popcorn Bucket?

Well, the day has officially arrived — it’s the first day of Disney World’s 18-month-long 50th Anniversary Celebration.

And we’re there checking out the new character cavalcade, the food, the lines, and the crowds. We’re also checking out all the new merchandise, including brand new popcorn buckets.

And today, we picked up a new popcorn bucket in Magic Kingdom for ourselves — and it’s shaped like a Mickey Balloon! It’s also got the castle on it with the Disney World 50th anniversary logo.

New Popcorn Bucket!

There are four different colors of the Mickey Balloon Popcorn Bucket, with a different color available at different kiosks in Magic Kingdom.

We got the yellow Mickey Balloon Popcorn Bucket at Storybook Circus Popcorn Cart, available for $18 plus tax.

It’s shimmery!

Now, it’s important to note that these popcorn buckets were incredibly in-demand this morning at Magic Kingdom. We ended up waiting about an hour in line for it this morning. In fact, at park opening, the longest lines we saw were at outdoor kiosks with guests waiting to purchase the new popcorn bucket.

The new addition to the parks proved to be so popular, that several Cast Members told us it was sold out park wide today by 9:30AM. We’ll keep you updated on a restock, and any further details we hear, so stay tuned to AllEars!

  1. No! I would not wait an hour for a bucket of popcorn unless I just got off the show Survivor or there was a $100 bill at the bottom. Love the bucket though. If no line sure I’d get it.

  2. Ebay pirates are already selling these for $60 for about a $40 profit. So for $40 an hour of standing around, I would consider waiting an hour.
