Last night was the Daytime Emmy Awards!
Last night’s ceremony covered Children’s programming and Disney received a few awards. Here is what Disney won at last night’s awards!
The first big Disney winner is…Mark Hamill! He won for “Outstanding Performer in a Preschool Animated Program” for his role as Vuli in the Disney Junior series Elena of Avalor. The Star Wars actor is well known for his voice acting work in animated films and series as characters like The Joker, Chucky, and Skeletor.
The casting team for Elena of Avalor also won for “Outstanding Casting for a Daytime Animated Program” at the Daytime Emmys. The Disney Junior show came to an end last year with a special.
Disney+ also had two winners at this year’s Daytime Emmys! The first is “Outstanding Writing Team for a Daytime Animated Program” for Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe.
The Disney+ also won “Outstanding Sound Mixing and Sound Editing for a Daytime Animated Program” for its one-season revival of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Perhaps Disney’s latest Star Wars offerings, the Clone Wars spin-off The Bad Batch and their upcoming anime anthology Star Wars: Visions, will continue to pick up awards for Disney.
