Although we had to go over a year without any new Marvel content, 2021 has brought us tons of new Marvel stuff on Disney+!
We don’t know about you, but the wait between the end of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and the premiere of Loki felt brutal! But it seems like we’re not the only ones just sucking up all the Marvel content we can watch!
According to Deadline, the premiere episode of Loki on Wednesday broke Marvel Disney+ records. First-day viewership of the show reached almost 900,000 households making it “the largest US premiere-day audience for any of Marvel’s Disney+ shows.”
Loki reached 890,000 households on its first day, as compared to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s premiere, which reached 759,000 households, and WandaVision, which reached 655,000. Loki even beat out Disney’s premiere weekend of Cruella on the streaming service, although that movie was only available to those willing to pay an additional $29.99 for premiere access.
It seems that more fans are jumping on the Marvel TV show bandwagon at Disney+ with the latest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And it makes sense that the god of mischief has drummed up a lot of support.
