Following the cancellation of Disneyland’s Annual Passholder program, the Legacy Passholder program was introduced.
Legacy Passholders have had access to an extended discount on things like dining and shopping which they can redeem through a digital ticket in the Disneyland app. Recently, we noticed a tiny update to our ticket in the app that outlines some different discount categories.
On the digital discount ticket, there’s a new, distinguished category — either Legacy Passholder Discount A or Legacy Passholder Discount B.
It appears that the differences between these passholder discount categories are dependent on the Passport type guests held prior to the transition to the Legacy Passholder Program. Those who held a Disney Premier Passport, Disney Signature Plus, and Disney Signature are in Category A. Passholders who had Disney Deluxe, Disney Flex, Disney Southern California, and Disney Southern California Select are in Category B.
The majority of the time, those in the Legacy Passholder Discount A category receive higher discounts than those in the Legacy Passholder Discount B category. This is true especially when it comes to the purchase of merchandise, but these discounts may change depending on location. When it comes to discounts on dining, discount amounts vary a bit more.
Each of the different discounts is outlined on Disneyland’s site. We’re just one week away from the historic reopening of Disneyland Resort, so be sure to check back with us for all of the updates!
