You don’t have to be at Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort to experience a piece of Disney history.

The Walt Disney Family Museum is located in San Francisco, California, and features a variety of artifacts and historic pieces from the legacy of Walt Disney. Due to California state regulations during the ongoing health crisis, the museum has faced a few closures but is now set to reopen later this month.Â
The Walt Disney Family Museum will reopen its main museum and two exhibitions, The Walt Disney Studios and World War II and Veterans’ Voices: Painted Realities on April 22nd. The museum is requiring that guests pre-purchase tickets and select a specific time that they plan to visit in order to ensure that capacity limits are not exceeded.

Tickets are available now and will be released for booking in two-week increments as the museum begins to reopen for the first few months. Keep in mind that separate reservations are required for both the main museum and The Walt Disney Studios and World War II Exhibition so you will need to select separate times and tickets. They suggest allowing for 1.5 hours to view the main museum and 45 minutes for the exhibition.

While in the museum, health and safety regulations will be put in place including face-covering requirements, distancing, increased sanitization, and directional signage. In addition, the cafe, water fountains, coat check, theater, and Learning Center will remain closed with no predicted dates as to when these will return.

The museum will be open beginning April 22nd, on Thursdays through Sundays from 10AM to 5PM, with the last entrance time at 4PM. In order to book your ticket, you can head over to the website and make your reservation now. And, stay tuned for more Disney news and updates!
