It’s been a long year, but there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel as COVID-19 vaccines continue to be distributed across the United States.

We recently learned that the U.S. had moved up the timeline to have the capability to vaccinate every adult in the country by the end of May, and tonight, another announcement is forthcoming.

According to CNBC, President Joe Biden is set to direct states to make all adults eligible for COVID-19 vaccines by May 1.

Even more signs!

This is an even sooner timeline than the already accelerated timeline. Originally, every adult was expected to be eligible by the end of July. Speaking of July, the May 1 vaccine directive from Biden may mean that small groups can safely gather to celebrate Independence Day together. Yep, that’s the Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July!

“We believe that if we do our part we’ll be in a much better place by Independence Day, and we can start to resume more of our normal activities,” a senior administration official said. Biden’s full speech will be given at 8 PM ET tonight.
