Would You Model Your Home After a Disney Ride?

Do you consider yourself a big Disneyland fan?

You might visit the parks (when you can), stock up on merch, and try your hand at Disneyland-inspired recipes at home. But would you model a home after a ride? We stumbled upon an interesting creation that does just that!

In London, architect Mat Barnes drew inspiration from a handful of popular references when remodeling his home. And one of those inspirations is the Matterhorn Bobsleds attraction in Disneyland!

The entrance to the home was modeled after the signature snow-covered peak of the Matterhorn, as shared by Architectural Digest. Barnes took to other influences like Trainspotting and Sir John Soane’s Museum, with an overarching focus on sustainability.

  1. Well after over 2 yrs of work, countless hours, over 100K invested, I continue to recreate the Disney Tower of Terror Basement elevator ride entrance at my home. It includes many special effects, many Twilight Zone prop recreations, a simulated rain system, a custom Rod Serling Deepfake narrating the automated “ride,” experience.

  2. I like disney decorating. I redecorated my master bath last year. I was inspired by the Jungle Cruise. It turned out well. The walls were painted a light sage. Many jungle touches and Disney art from Adventureland.
