WARNING: The following article contains spoilers from the latest episode of WandaVision.

Alright everyone, show of hands, who’s still recovering from the newest episode of WandaVision?

While the seventh episode, “Breaking the Fourth Wall,” provided us with some crucial answers, it also left us asking some questions on what’s to come next! Not to mention that major cliffhanger with the series’ first-ever mid-credit scene! What else was there in this episode? You may have missed some of the details, so let’s go over them now!

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

Did you catch this nod to a past Marvel villain?

A lot of us were fixated on that glitching carton of milk in this kitchen scene, but did you happen to notice the box of cereal? It’s called ‘Sugar Snaps’ — sounds an awful lot like a nod to Thanos and his infamous “snap.”

The show is set in New Jersey, but there’s another state we have to talk about.

This has been on our minds for the last week or so, but this little detail was all over the seventh episode. Westview is located in New Jersey, but if you look at the cars, they have license plates that seem to be from the state of Connecticut!

New Jersey’s plates are traditionally a yellow and white gradient, but Connecticut’s plates have a blue and white gradient. Agatha’s station wagon in the Halloween episode had this blue and white plate, and several vehicles had them in this latest episode, including the ice cream truck Darcy and Vision were driving in, as well as the car in the driveway during the mid-credit scene.

Is this a trivial detail or something more important? Could Agatha have ties to the Connecticut Witch Trials, which were considered to be the first mass witch trial in the country (that predates Salem’s trials by about thirty years)? We’ll have to wait and find out!

Once again, the commercial has a hidden Easter Egg!

This week’s mid-episode commercial was for Nexus, an anti-depressant drug. Nexus is is a play on “Nexus of All Realities” from the comics!

Agatha who?!

Depending on how closely you follow the Marvel comics, you may or may not have been surprised at this week’s big reveal: that Agnes is not in fact Agnes, but Agatha Harkness, aka a WITCH! There have been little nods to this throughout the series so far, but episode seven put it in clear writing that “it was Agatha all along.” By the way, who else has this song stuck in their head now? Just us?

If you pay attention to Agatha’s house in her musical number, you might recognize it as eerily similar to the house from Bewitched!

Mid to late-2000’s television series reign supreme this week.

Each episode of WandaVision not only uses inspiration from various decades, but also from popular television shows from those decades (I Love Lucy, The Twilight Zone, and Bewitched being a few shows represented so far). In the seventh episode, we noticed tons of references to both Modern Family as well as The Office.

The “mockumentary” style of sitcoms took off in the mid-to-late 2000’s thanks in large part to these two shows. From this episode’s opening title sequence to the interviews taking place throughout the episode, it was clear that these two sitcoms played a huge role in the writing of this week’s installment of WandaVision.

Also, who else caught Vision staring into the camera à la Jim Halpert from The Office?

What’s up with Agatha’s book?

As Wanda explores Agatha’s creepy basement, her eyes are drawn to a mysterious glowing book on the shelf.

Agatha herself fills us in that she has magical powers, so could this be some forbidden book of magic? The camera spent a good deal of time on it, so it must be important!

The return of the hexagons.

A lot of viewers probably recognized Wanda’s bright green and blue paisley pillowcases from their own bedspread they had 10 or so years ago, but Wanda’s bedspread had extra Easter Eggs! Clearly the hexagon is an important shape in WandaVision, and it’s once again represented in episode seven.

“Presto!”

In the scene where Wanda and Monica argue out in the front yard, they capture the attention of the entire neighborhood — including the delivery guy! If you look closely at his shirt, it says “Presto,” which is a tip of the hat to magic!

Monica is about to be our new favorite superhero.

We learned in the seventh episode of WandaVision that Monica Rambeau has new-found powers, allowing her to pass through the Hex wall unscathed.

When she passes through the Hex wall, Monica lands in a three-point stance which is known to be a Marvel code signaling that the individual is a superhero.

The pose pops up again when Wanda throws Monica to the ground, but she lands in the same three-point stance.

Speak of the devil!

There’s another baddie that we have yet to formally meet in WandaVision that many fans are saying could be right around the corner: Mephisto. This character, who is synonymous with the devil, may be lurking around Agatha’s house. As Wanda explores the house, she notices a large fly crawling around the window. Flies are, of course, symbolic for the devil, so Wanda better watch out!

122822

In the episode’s opening theme song, there’s a license plate (again, with that blue and white Connecticut gradient) that says “Wanda” along with the number 122822. That number is a SHIELD number used to reference “The Pulse”, which was a planetary event in the video game universe. Also, 122822 is Stan Lee’s birthdate: December 28th, 1922!

You might want to get that mole checked, Agatha.

Finally, when Agatha says she found a suspicious mole on her back that she can’t see , we couldn’t help but wonder if that mean there was possible a spy on the inside of the anomaly. After all, Jimmy said that he had an informant.

  1. The book is clearly The Sanderson Sister’s book. We’re still waiting on Olsen’s foretelling of a “Luke Skywalker” level guest star. Bette Midler is showing up in the last episode and blowing us all away.
