Disney World Will Host the Department of Defense Warrior Games at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Next Year

Since the parks have opened, Disney World has been working towards bringing back various forms of entertainment!

Sports fans were thrilled to be able to watch the NBA and the MLS as they held tournaments at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. And, now Disney will be welcoming guests from military forces next year too!

Disney and the United States Army Training Doctrine Command have announced that the annual Department of Defense (DoD) Warrior Games will be hosted at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Disney World in September 2021!

The event allows hundreds of heroes from the United States Armed Forces and ally nations to compete through events like wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, indoor rowing, cycling, and more. The Warrior Games will bring together both veterans and active duty officers as Disney celebrates the heroes who are wounded, ill, or injured.

As Disney prepares to thank these service members next year, we’ll be sure to continue to update you on the Department of Defense Warrior Games and other events coming to Disney World.
