Disney Reportedly Eyeing Potential Disney+ Release for ‘Cruella’, ‘Peter Pan’, and More

Disney has skipped theater releases for films like Mulan and Soul and made them available to be streamed on Disney+ instead.

It seems that some of Disney’s upcoming films may follow that same path, and be released for streaming rather than making a debut at the box office, reports Deadline.

Disney has been churning out their live-action films over the last few years and we’re not complaining! Some of its upcoming live-action projects include Cruella, a twist on 101 DalmatiansPinocchio, and Peter Pan and Wendy.

Due to many movie theater closures and their uncertain futures, Deadline repots that Disney may consider launching these films directly to Disney+ rather than their intended theater releases.

CEO Bob Chapek shared that the company’s focus is going to be on direct-to-consumer content as a result of its success in the Fourth Quarter and End of Fiscal 2020 Report, so we’ll see how this affects Disney’s future film releases!  Check back with us for updates about Disney’s shows and films!
