Disney has a reputation for being a leader when it comes to technology.
Recently, Disney has been discussing more virtual reality experiences such as the Windows to the Wild program. And now, Disney has released a brand new adventure that takes you to the planet on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!
This experience was announced back in August, but it is now available to galactic explorers! If you’ve ever wanted to discover the rest of the planet Batuu beyond what you can see in Galaxy’s Edge, you’re in luck! Lucasfilm’s award-winning entertainment studio, ILMxLAB, has just released a new virtual reality experience called Star Wars: Tales from Galaxy’s Edge.
This new adventure takes place on the outskirts of the Black Spire Outpost where players take on the role of a droid repair technician. A group of Guavian Death Gang pirates attack causing players to head to their escape pods and crash on Batuu where they can discover new areas of the planet and become a galactic hero.
During the experience, you will meet classic Star Wars characters, as well as some new ones! This adventure is in collaboration with Oculus Studios and is currently available on the Oculus Quest platform. Check out the new trailer to see what your virtual reality adventure could be like!
