Christmas is in full swing all around Central Florida!

We’ve seen decorations and festivities all around Walt Disney World, and now we’re checking out the offerings at Universal Orlando! With decorations around the parks, a new Holiday Treat Trail, and hot butterbeer, you definitely don’t want to miss the seasonal fun here! Today we’re checking out one of the many Christmas experiences: the Holiday Tree Hunt.
To start your tree hunt, you’ll purchase the special brochure that will lead you on a quest to find decorated trees all around Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Universal’s CityWalk. If you complete the hunt, you’ll win a special holiday ornament!

Our brochure came with a list of places to visit to find all of our trees, there were 16 trees in all! The list also referred us to the places where we could pick up our prize when done.

There were some pretty unique trees to check out on this scavenger hunt! This Men in Black tree was out-of-this-world!

It’s even got creepy alien head ornaments! Who doesn’t want THAT on their tree?

We also spotted this pretty awesome Shrek-themed tree. It really takes on that medieval theme with the armor and wooden shields!

The Hello Kitty tree was so cute! With all those plushes, it looked soft enough to hug! (In reality, it’s actually quite prickly, so you may not want to try that.)

The Spongebob Squarepants tree was decked out the (very bold) colors of Bikini Bottom. It’s even got Spongebob’s pineapple house front and center!

The tree themed after The Mummy was a little less cute, with arms sticking out the sides, snakes on top, and a very scary mummy face.

For every tree you spot, you’ll get your brochure stamped. Once it’s all complete, you’ll return to get your prize!

This beautiful ornament prize will look great on your tree at home! On the front, it has the Universal Orlando logo.

And on the back, it says “Holiday Tree Hunt”! You’ll always have a souvenir from the day that you and your family embarked on this holiday tree adventure!

All in all, we really enjoyed running around looking for these trees — the designs were amazing! If you want to complete this scavenger hunt, head on over to Universal Orlando to check it out. While you’re there, make sure to look into their other holiday offerings!
