‘Doogie Howser’ Reboot ‘Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.’ Is In Development for Disney+!

Hey 90’s kids! Remember Doogie Howser M.D.? You know, that hit ABC series starring a VERY young Neil Patrick Harris? Well, it looks like we have a reboot coming our way soon!

Disney has announced that the 20th Television series will arrive on Disney+, and that it will feature a fresh, new spin!

The reboot’s working title is Doogie Kameāloha, M.D., and tells the story of a 16 year-old mixed race girl named Lahela “Doogie” Kameāloha. Set in Hawaii, the ten-episode series will follow the young medical genius as she struggles with her not-so-typical teenage life!

Kourtney Kang, the voice behind successful series such as Fresh Off the Boat and How I Met Your Mother is attached as the series’ writer and executive producer.  With other new original films and series arriving to Disney+ like Earth to Ned and Clouds it looks like Doogie Kameāloha, M.D. will be in good company and give us viewers plenty to choose from!

At this time Disney has not announced a release date for the Doogie reboot, but we will definitely be keeping a close eye on this one!
