NEWS: Disney/Pixar's Upcoming Film 'Luca' Has an Official Theatrical Release Date!

We recently shared a first look at Disney’s 2023 theatrical release schedule. But before we can get to 2023, we have a few other years to finish up first!

There’s tons of exciting Disney content coming our way, including Pixar’s Soul, which was previously slated to come out in June but was delayed to November. Now, we have learned about another Pixar film getting a release date!

It’s been known that Luca would be coming to theaters in the summer of 2021, but now we now precisely when to plan a trip to the movies! According to Entertainment Weekly, Luca will arrive to theaters on June 18th, 2021!

There was an “Untitled Pixar Animation” placeholder in the June 18th slot, so this announcement makes perfect sense! And it’s a hopeful sign to see Disney’s planned theatrical releases stick to the schedule, after an onslaught of delays from other films as a result of the worldwide closures shuttering production studios.
