Here’s What Crowds Look Like Just Days Before the Lengthy Closure in Disney World

Monday, March 16th will mark the start of the lengthiest closure of Disney World in the history of the resort. The parks will remain closed for 15 days, right through to the end of the month.

With such an unprecedented measure about to take place, we were curious. Just how many people would be in the parks in the days before the closure? Well, we’re taking a look today to see what crowd levels look like in the parks!

Looking at Magic Kingdom, there’s definitely a decided decrease in crowd levels from when we evaluated crowd levels yesterday.

Still, the park is far from empty! Sure there might be a little more elbow room than during your typical Disney World spring break, but guests are still enjoying their Disney day.

At the time of writing, the longest lines in Magic Kingdom were 105 minutes for Splash Mountain, 85 minutes for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and 80 minutes for Peter Pan’s Flight.

Over in Epcot, crowds are a little lessened too. Frozen Ever After is sitting at just 60 minutes and Test Track has a wait of 45 minutes.

And though Hollywood Studios is following the pattern of being less crowded than usual, it’s still the park to be in!

We’ve seen Slinky Dog Dash go between about 80 and 110 minutes, with line signs out when we walked by!

And check out that line at Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway! Although, we can’t say that a 75 minute wait is a particularly rough line for a ride that just opened last week.

Animal Kingdom, too, feels a little more regular. Even days before the closure, Avatar Flight of Passage is still sitting pretty with an over two-hour wait.
