We’re not sure that there are many people who haven’t heard of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton. But since it’s so popular there are many who love the musical’s music but have yet to see the show since the Broadway run and much of the national tour sold out completely. Well, we’re happy to say that musical is coming to a platform that will open it up to a lot more people!

Disney has announced that they’re bringing Hamilton to the big screen! THat’s right — a film of the original Broadway production will be released in cinemas around the US and Canada on October 15th, 2021.

Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, the Schuyler Sisters, and more will all be seen on the silver screen played by the original cast, including Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hamilton, Daveed Diggs as Lafayette, and Renee Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler.

  1. Rent & Kinky Boots have also been released this way & it really feels like being there, which is great for those of us who live nowhere near NYC or other major cities with access to Broadway shows.
