Last December we shared previews and concept art for the many additions and expansions coming to Tokyo Disneyland.
Disney just announced when all of the new attractions will be opening!
The “New Fantasyland” area and additions to Toontown and Tomorrowland will all open on April 15, 2020!
What’s coming on April 15? So much! Look for new attractions, entertainment, shopping and dining experiences.
In Fantasyland you’ll find a new Beauty and the Beast themed area featuring the Beast’s Castle, a new attraction Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, Village Shoppes and La Taverne de Gaston in Belle’s Village, and a 1,500-seat theater, Fantasyland Forest Theatre, which will feature signature Disney entertainment in a dedicated indoor performance space.
Tomorrowland will welcome The Happy Ride featuring Baymax and a new outerspace themed shop, The Big Pop, that will offer popcorn in multiple flavors, along with Tokyo Disneyland’s popular popcorn buckets.
Minnie will be coming to Toontown! Minnie’s Style Studio will be the first greeting location in Tokyo Disneyland where guests can meet Minnie Mouse and say hello and take photos.
These additions are part of the resort’s large-scale expansion plan. In addition to nearly doubling the size of Fantasyland at Tokyo Disneyland, an eighth themed port is in progress at Tokyo DisneySea. The new port will celebrate the stories of Frozen, Tangled and Peter Pan and be connected to a new deluxe hotel with a luxury wing. These additions are in addition to the previously announced opening of a Toy Story Hotel at the resort.
