That was fast! Disneyland’s Main Street Theater made an unpopular move in the past week as part of an effort to draw in more people.

As a test, Disney started selling merchandise in the location, in addition to showing classic Disney cartoons.
Today, a stroll by the Main Street Cinema revealed what we can guess is a failure of that test.

We popped inside to confirm this, and sure enough, the only thing in the Cinema now is classic cartoons.

We also notice something else missing — people. Disney explained the merchandise addition was one of many ideas they had to draw people in to the Cinema.

We are curious to see what steps Disney takes in the future to draw people in to the Cinema to take a moment to watch the classics on the screens.

If they want to draw more people add a water cooler to refill hydro-flasks and add more seating.
Take out the raised area in the middle and add more benches. Every time I’m sitting and watching a cartoon, a family will come in and their kids will use the middle raised area for tap dancing thus blocking everyone’s view. Kids should be in there. But not to horseplay.
