Like many Walt Disney World fans, I was surprised at the announcement to replace Off Kilter, Mo’Rockin’, World Showcase Players and the group I choose to highlight for the Disney Pic of the Week on Epcot Entertainers.

The Spirit of America Fife and Drum Corps has been a part of my Epcot experience since 1983. It will be hard to not see them perform their American patriotic music and introduce the Voices of Liberty before each American Adventure show. They were as much a part of the American Adventure as the show was to me.

  1. Why?? Why are they taking them out?? It’s my son & husband’s favorite show!! They are going to be so disappointed….

Scott replies: Sadly, yes, they are. I feel many people feel as we all do.

  2. Sad day for this, my family and I have been 4 times and seen them every time,,Epcot is my favorite of the four main parks…Sad day I say..

    Scott replies: Yes, it is.

  3. Why would they remove the Spirit of America Fife & Drum Corps? To me this is a symbol of what America is all about. Are we trying to “blend in” with everyone else? Is there a replacement, or is this all going the way of not displaying the American flag, saying the pledge of allegiance & prayer in school? We love Disney, & come to WDW at least a couple of times a year, but this is very disappointing.

Scott replies: I do not know. I was disappointed about all the acts being dropped.
