Disneyland Half Marathon 2012 – Part 1

Posted on
Labor Day weekend - that means it's once again time for the Disneyland Half Marathon! We will be running it Sunday morning with 16,998 of our closest friends (and a number of Team AllEars teammates, as well). This will be the 7th Disneyland Half Marathon, and our 5th time running it. We really enjoy it. They have tweaked the parks part of the course again this year because Cars Land and Buena Vista Street our now open! So we'll get to run through Cars Land tomorrow. We've made a long weekend of it, and arrived on Friday night. We are using our DVC points to stay at the Villas at the Grand Californian (we love this resort). We're on the 5th floor, and this was what we saw when we arrived in our room Friday night! Grizzly Peak and a blue moon over the Tower of Terror. We can also see the Cadillac Range in Cars Land through the trees. It's a great location.

by Michael Miller Team AllEars 2013 Typically, when people sign up for their first race, the first thing they do is establish a training plan to reach their goal. All too often, while these plans are technically sound, they don’t take into account everything that can help you be successful when you set out to … Continue reading "Gear Up Now"

Positive Peer Pressure

By Dee Dee Webster Before joining Team AllEars, there were a lot of things that I didn’t think that I could do. One decision can make the biggest difference in someone’s life. I’ll be honest, when I became a team member, I didn’t run. Not even a block, let alone 13.1 miles. I’m not sure … Continue reading "Positive Peer Pressure"

My first Half Marathon at Walt Disney World

By Casey Dylan Back-story Last fall, in what can best be described as a moment of mid-life crisis, I decided to put down the beer, turn off the TV, get off the couch, go outside and”¦(wait for it)”¦run a marathon. Due to my rotund shape, and generally lazy disposition, this was a statement far fetched … Continue reading "My first Half Marathon at Walt Disney World"
