The Polynesian Resort will revert to its original 1971 name, The Polynesian Village Resort Hotel, as it continues a multi-year re-imagining with the renovation of its guest rooms, the resort's feature pool and its centerpiece Great Ceremonial House. The "Poly" also plans to add Trader Sam's Grog Grotto with a highly themed lounge area featuring tiki cocktails and Polynesia-themed small plates. It will be based on the popular themed lounge at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, Calif.
