Ken Potrock, Disney Vacation Club Senior Vice President, has announced that as of yesterday, April 4, 2016, anyone who does not purchase "an ownership interest [in Disney Vacation Club] directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc. will not have access to Membership Extras." These "extras" include such benefits as discounts on Annual Passes, as well as discounts on merchandise discounts and dining. All current DVC members who may have purchased a resale contract from someone other than Disney Vacation Club will be "grandfathered in" and will continue to receive these benefits.
