BREAKING NEWS: Disney World Will Submit Reopening Plans and Date Next Week

After approving Universal Orlando's proposed reopening plans and dates, Florida's Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings shared when Disney World would be submitting their proposal to the task force.

On May 21st, Orlando theme parks including Disney World will submit presentations to Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings on how they plan on reopening safely. One of the required components of these presentations is a proposed opening date.

The Orange County Task Force group "Bringing Back Tourism" met today, discussing the importance of major attractions such as Disney World in relation to Central Florida's economy. It was emphasized in this meeting that the theme parks will reopen when they feel it is safe to do so.

News! Knott’s Berry Farm’s Parent Company States the Park Could Be Closed the Rest of the Year

While some theme park companies are shaping up for a gradual reopening process, others are painting a more bleak picture on their reopening prospects in 2020. One parent company, who owns a theme park that neighbors Disneyland in California, just released their quarterly report, which states that "some or all" of their theme parks could remain closed through the rest of the year.
