NEWS: Florida Public Universities Intend to Reopen for the Fall 2020 Semester

Some universities have made the decision to close campuses for the Fall 2020 semester. The state of Florida announced that it plans on reopening all of its public universities in time for the beginning of the new school year. In order to do so, however, each university needs to submit their own plans on how they intend on reopening safely.

The Possibility of a “Health Ambassador” at Large Theme Parks Discussed at Today’s Florida Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force Meeting

The Orange County Task Force group "Bringing Back Tourism" met today, discussing the importance of major attractions such as Disney World in relation to Central Florida's economy. It was emphasized in this meeting that the theme parks will reopen when they feel it is safe to do so.

Today was a day full of meetings and press briefings from the Orange County Task Force and from Orange County Major Jerry Demings. Today's meetings included remarks on the news of Shanghai Disneyland reopening on May 11, which brought up the importance of Disney World and other major theme parks to the local Orange County economy.
