Disneyland Resort Celebrates the Holidays with New Fun and Entertainment

The holiday season launches at the Disneyland Resort Nov. 10, inviting family and friends to make magical memories together. This year, guests will have even more to celebrate as they discover the new Festival of Holidays, with music, dance, food and heartwarming holiday festivities inspired by cultural traditions from around the world. Also new for the season is the holiday-themed "World of Color-Season of Light," a nighttime water spectacular that will inspire guests with cherished holiday music and treasured Disney animation. This fourth all-new production of World of Color creates a sparkling winter fantasy with magical storytelling, brilliant lights, lasers and high-definition projectors, along with fountains that shoot as high as 200 feet to create the giant screens of water. Princess Elena of Avalor also makes her debut at the Disneyland Resort during Festival of Holidays, performing in a colorful cavalcade.

Three Holiday Specials Featuring Star-Studded Performances from Disney Parks and Disney|ABC Television Group

Disney kicks off the holidays with three musical specials originating from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California. The shows will be presented on Disney ABC Television Group platforms, including ABC Television Network, Disney Channel, the ABC and Disney Channel apps and VOD, among other branded digital platforms. Julianne Hough and Derek Hough, both fan favorites from "Dancing with the Stars," are set to host two specials: "The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration" on Thanksgiving night, and "The Disney Parks' Magical Christmas Celebration" on Christmas morning. Stars of "Descendants 2," the sequel to "Descendants," will host and perform holiday songs in "Disney Parks Presents: A Descendants Magical Holiday Celebration" on Disney Channel on Friday, Nov. 25. Grammy Award-winning artists Trisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks and Kelly Clarkson will perform on all three holiday specials. Each show will feature the granting of wishes to families throughout the Disney theme parks, as part of Disney's "Share the Joy" campaign, designed to inspire families to spread goodwill this holiday season by giving back and volunteering to help others.

Disney Twenty-Three Joins the Rebellion to Celebrate the Arrival of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

The winter issue of Disney Twenty-Three, the magazine that is exclusively for Gold Members of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, includes a look at the upcoming film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, as well as the 30th anniversary of Disney Parks' Star Tours, with detailed concept artwork and in-depth interviews. In addition, the issue features stories on the new animated film Moana, which opens November 23, plus the team behind the enhancements on the Disney Wonder cruise ship gives fans an inside look at the experiences and details guests will enjoy when they next set sail. Also, starting December 1, D23.com will once again kick off the "D23 Days of Christmas." Each day will include sweepstakes for incredible Disney prizes, dazzling photography, delicious recipes, original stories and videos, colorful crafts, and much more. The issue will begin arriving in mid-November.

New Holiday Show Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

An all-new nighttime spectacular, "Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!," premieres at Disney's Hollywood Studios Nov. 14. On, above and around the Chinese Theater are state-of-the-art projections, special effects, fireworks and even snow. Adding to the immersive experience is a new musical score featuring familiar holiday tunes with an original twist. Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will run from Nov. 14 to Dec. 31.
