This is a value resort, so not a lot of bells and whistles, but gets the job done. The service here is excellent. The manager came to check us in and I thought there was an issue. She was just coming out to thank us for staying. Upgraded us to a pool view which ended up in the 1st floor and near the lobby. Lobby was well done with a Starbucks which was nice to wait in on check out day.

My favorite Universal deluxe resort. My kids prefer the Portofino, but the distance to the parks makes this a winner for me. Room seem a little dated. Room service was quick and food was good. Quick ferry ride if you don’t want to walk, unless there is a ferry ready to go walking to the park is faster. Loved the lobby and memorabilia throughout the resort. Free express passes make it worth the cost.

So disappointed this time. I was debating taking Mears or Lyft. I asked the Mears rep if they had a direct route (express). I was told yes,then found out when I got in line, it was not direct
I also asked how long it would be before we board. I was told 10 minutes. 30 minutes later, I asked the employee at the front of the line. He said 10 minutes. About 20 minutes later we were told the wait would be about 30 minutes more as it was a shift change for the drivers. We had dinner reservations that we missed because we actually believed the Mears employees.

We had the club sandwich and it was great. Wait staff was awesome and the waiter felt like he took to long to greet us (he didn't) and surprised us with a piece of delicious pumpkin cheesecake!
