We've been here three different times ,this spring will be #4. Each time different group of Characters have been there. The last two times we met Cinderella AND Prince Charming -my daughter went nuts. Charming even took her by the hand and danced with her once. I think we could have left for home after that!! The food is great a nice buffet with great servers. We have never had a bad time here. My daughter loves Alice and this is the best chance to meet her. She has always been here since we've come.

Pros:

great food - good place to meet Cinderella with Prince Charming

Cons:

none

Review of Disney's Beach Club Resort Concierge Level

My husband and I were upgraded to the concierge level on our honeymoon. The staff members were by far the best part of the experience. They were very polite and made sure to greet and congratulate us every time they saw us. The club lounge was a convenient option for a quick breakfast. We found it saved us a great deal of time in the morning and we met some really nice people. My husband and I are not big breakfast eaters so the variety was fine for us, but I could see how some people would be disappointed with the lack of options. The lounge did not offer much seating and some guests stayed at the tables for a quite a while reading newspapers and having coffee. We were lucky to find seats every morning, but other guests waited to sit.
We rarely return to the hotel during the day so we only took advantage of the snacks and drinks twice during our trip. The desserts we had were tasty and it was nice to have a quiet place to sit for ten minutes.
The room was a good size and clean. Mousekeeping did a great job and left towel art each day. My only complaint was that the walls were surprisingly thin. Toward the end of our trip a family checked into the room next to us and we could hear EVERYTHING they said. Overall, my husband and I enjoyed the concierge level, but we both agreed that it did not offer enough benefits for us to pay extra. We will return to a regular room this year.

Pros:

Staff, Mousekeeping, Location

Cons:

Small club lounge

Review of 1900 Park Fare Character Dinner

We had 12 people in our party. 4 people were stuck on the Monorail for 20 minutes and there was no problem with them holding our reservation. We were put at a round table that had all the chairs crowded together. We had a difficult time getting up to take pictures with the characters. The characters were extremely rushed. Never had a character meal like this before. Food was good. I am a vegetarian and had plenty of food items to choose from. The food was good, but the crowded surroundings and RUSHED characters make me never want to come back here again.

Pros:

Food

Cons:

Very Rushed with Characters

We had made reservations here for lunch as part of the Candlelight Processional package the first week of December 2014. We had eaten here during prior visits, and had had a good experience then. We left very disappointed and wishing we had booked somewhere else.
Our first disappointment came when we found out they would not honor our Tables in Wonderland card. I had called prior to making the reservation and was told they WOULD honor the card for our discount. I shrugged that off as a miscommunication, although I was upset by the rather rude cast member at the check in desk.
Our server obviously was either new or totally flustered, she could not get our order straight and forgot to order or misordered pasts of our meals. We had to keep asking for appetizers, meals etc and she said she had forgotten to order certain things. Another server was trying to assist her and finally brought the manager although we had not requested that. The manager got the orders straightened out but with food arriving at all different times it made the meal very uncomfortable and lengthy. The meals were not nearly as good as we remembered from previous visits. The combination of poor service and mediocre food left us thinking we had a very expensive and lackluster experience, and would not be anxious to return here again,

Pros:

failry good food

Cons:

poor service, very loud and crowded

Review of Trattoria al forno - Dinner

My girlfriend and I had dinner at Trattoria al Forno on Saturday January 17, 2015. We were able to secure reservations for 7:15 pm two weeks prior to our visit. We arrive early and waited until our designated time and were promptly seated. We observed a few walk-in parties being told that there we no more reservations for the rest of the evening. The décor is wonderful, atmosphere crowded, busy, and moderately loud. Kids all over the place. Service was very good, considering the restaurant was packed, we only had to remind our waitress a few times for water, the bill, etc. We tried the Caprese Salad, Romaine Lettuce, and the Smoked Prosciutto, Potato, Rosemary and Mozzarella pizza. Excellent quality and freshness. To our surprise the potato on the pizza really worked! Almost like a pizza with potato chips on it. Extensive wine collection, great cocktail and beer selection. Hey, you can’t have pizza without a beer! Overall our impression was positive and we look forward to returning.

Pros:

fresh, quality Itailian food

Cons:

crowded restaurant

This is our 11th visit to Disney, but have never tried the Garden Grille before. The service was top notch! In fact, server probably checked on us too often. The food portions were huge and my picky crew offered no complaints. Food was fresh and tasted like a special Sunday meal. Atmosphere was fun, especially on tables which faced Living with the Land. Forgot to mention a pro...NO WAIT to get a table during busy time of year. My crew went in restaurant grumpy, tired and hungry...we left happy and full, but still exhausted!!! We'll go back.

Pros:

Excellent food, outstanding service, and loved the characters. We will go back.

I have been here many times before, always with a positive experience. However, when my wife and I went on our Disneymoon, it was the best experience yet.
We were seated on the sweetheart table (right against the stage in the middle).
The food was amazing (AS ALWAYS) the service, out of this world, and the show was fantastic.
We were asked to stand up and dance while they sang a love song (all of the couples who were celebrating an anniversary or honeymoon got up to join in).
Hoop Dee Doo really made out first night of our honeymoon one to remember.

Pros:

EVERYTHING!

Cons:

NOTHING!

Review of Ft. Wilderness Cabins (Moderate Resort)

(Posted to wrong category short2cake ) Let me start by saying I've always loved staying in the cabins on our trips. This time however, we checked in on 1/16/15 and kept finding bugs crawling around, which is to be expected out in the woods so I didn't think much of it. However, we kept finding them and killing them and they kept running, especially when we turned the lights on. We called the front desk around 6am and they said they'd have someone come out and they'd call us and let us know what was going on. We had probably killed about 5 so far (in under 2 days) and another 3-4 or so got away. Anyway, they never called. We called about 8pm from Hollywood Studios and they pretty much couldn't tell us anything except someone had been out there. So we got back to the cabin about 9:30pm and they were scurrying around all. We ended up going to the lobby and telling them they needed to move us, there was no way I was staying there for 10 days! They said they didn't have anything open but did agree to put us up at another resort-Port Orleans Riverside (cute but definitely not enough room for all of us!). They got us a new cabin the next morning but that one didn't have any hot water and after 3 calls about that, they gave us the key to the cabin next door to take showers and sent someone out to fix ours. And did I mention the flying bugs in this cabin? It was a critter filled vacation! They ended up refunding us 2 nights stay and we got extra/special fastpasses which were actually kind of cool. Anyway, like I said, we've always stayed at the cabins and I was really disappointed that this one was so infested with bugs. I don't understand how that went unnoticed like that. I don't know if I'll stay there again...I'm so creeped out by the whole experience. 🙁

Pros:

spacious

Cons:

bugs

It has taken me almost three years to return here since my last poor experience. Like the person below me, we also attended on a MVMCP night, 12/18. The party was sold out, but the restaurant was pretty empty when we went in around 8:15pm. We decided to order a couple of kids meals. Mom had a burger and I had a grilled cheese; both of us asked for grapes, fries, and water. Mom went to get us a table near a window since the first parade was passing by. From our spot, we had a decent but not great view of it, but the soundtrack was loud and clear!

No complaints on the burger and the fries were fantastic, but the grilled cheese was not the best. It was one slice of barely melted American on whole grain goldfish shaped bread. Still a much better experience than in the past and I would come back here more willingly, but I prefer other restaurants over this one.

Pros:

Empty, great fries, limited view of first parade

Cons:

Average food

My family has been going to this restaurant every two years since my oldest son was two ; he is 18 now. Normally this is a restaurant we put on our vacation "to do" list first. There has never been any reason we would skip this restaurant as we have always loved it. This last trip however, we were very disappointed! They changed the food since our last trip and it was not good at all! There are five people in my family, (three sons, myself and my husband) and none of us were happy with the food this time and we are not picky at all. The salad, which is normally fresh and crisp with very delicious ranch dressing was a little limp and the dressing was awful. It was tasteless and thin, which made the salad more soggy. The fish was fairly tasteless and the steak and turkey were just o.k. I really miss the fried fish they used to serve. It was great! The dessert was not very sweet and was pretty tart. None of us liked it and it wasn't eaten. Now, for me to say that, it had to be pretty bad. I LOVE desserts. I was SO disappointed in this dinner. It was the worst meal of our entire trip. Our server wasn't good either. Unless they change the menu and/or get a new chef who knows how to cook better food, we will absolutely not go back. I would never even have considered leaving a comment like this about this meal before our last trip. I really love this restaurant, but it needs some changes.

Pros:

The characters and the rotation of the restaurant

Cons:

The food
