I enjoyed the food court. We eat here almost every morning, lunch on arrival day, and two dinners. There was a lot to choose from and we never had to wait very long. The only downfall is one night I had order the baked ziti and it was awful. It was burnt and in a little paper container like you'd buy from the grocery store. The breadstick on the side was gross also.

Pros:

Theming, Variety

Cons:

Burnt Baked Viti

We ate at Old port Royale twice during our most recent trip (January 4 - 12, 2013). We also went back every day for "free drinks" using our refill mugs. Our 1st dinner was on January 4th when we ordered a cheese and a peperoni pizza for dinner (and left overs for breakfast for the next several days!). This is by far the bets value at Old Port Royale. The pizza quality is comparable to a Little Caesars or Papa Johns in quality and is served made to order if you want (although only the cheese and peperoni are on the menu board. A pizza is large enough to feed 3 - 4 people. No complaints at all about the quality or taste. We went back on January 10th and my husband ordered the Cuban sandwich and my son the typical Bacon Cheeseburger (his 4th of the week. I was not hungry so I just had my drink. The Cuban sandwich was large and came with a choice of Cuban Seasoned chips (He thinks they were some kind of french fries) or other side. He chose the pasta salad which came in a very small portion cup. He said the food was good, but not the best he's had. He would chose it again though. My son as usual enjoyed his burger and fries. Both days that we ate a meal here, seating was available both inside at at a few tables outside. The lines were not too bad to order, but I don't like that you have to stand in a separate line to pay for your food so that by the time you get to your table it is cold (expect for the pizza. I think it would be a better idea if they had ordering stations like they do in the parks where you choose and pay and then pick your food up at the stations. Another thing is is the hours of service are limited. While we were there, they did not open for breakfast until 6:30 AM and closed at 10:00 PM. Not good if you stay late in the parks and want a bite to eat when you get back, or if you are early starter who likes to be at the parks well before opening. Also, they start shutting down the soda fountains well before the food court closes. When we got back from the parks on several nights before 9:00 they had already cleaned 3 of the 4 soda dispensing stations and wrapped them up. This resulted in lines to get sodas and several times the diet soda ran out. Lastly, the cleanliness of the tables was good, but the staff did not keep up with cleaning the condiment stations very well. I do like that they offer packages of tea and chocolate. I filled my mug each night with hot water and then added a tea bag when I got to my room. For convenience, Old Port Royale is a good choice, but I certainly would not make a special effort to eat here if staying at another resort or choosing between it and dining quick service in the parks. We will most likely eat here whenever we stay on property.

Pros:

Variety of menu items

Cons:

service hours, cold food, not as clean as it could be

Ate at the food court on the night we arrived. My husband and I both had the Mojo Pork and my son had the Pan-Seared Salmon. Both meals came with 2 sides and cornbread. I had green beans and black beans and rice. They didn't have plantains. They said that their sides rotate. All of the food was very good and it was a nice portion as well. My son and I split the Vanilla Monkey cupcake for dessert. Yummy!

Pros:

nice sized portions

Cons:

no plantains
