After reading several negative reviews, I almost canceled my reservation, but I’m glad we attended. It was a pleasant event with several dessert choices, including blue cupcakes, cobbler, ice cream, baklava and cookies. The drinks alcoholic and non- alcoholic are unlimited, which made the event price more justifiable since it’s hard to eat a massive amount of sweets. Not sure why they don’t have chairs, we ended up sitting on a plant ledge. It’s a great view of Illuminations, which we’ve never seen before, so it beat sitting on the ground waiting for the show to start. . I would recommend this, but not sure I would do it again, once is enough

Pros:

Not crowded, nice view

Cons:

rush for tables

The views of the fireworks were fabulous. Everything else not so much. The price of $ 50.00 for a 15 yr. is a tad overboard. While I understand "dining" practices it is a tad excessive. After spending a hot day walking around EPCOT there is not seating you stand at table tops. Not enough for the number of people. The desserts were OK nothing to rave about.

Pros:

Beautifule view of fireworks

Cons:

Everything else

One word...awful! My family of 5 adults, one infant and one child attended this and were so disappointed. I hate complaining about Disney because I so appreciate the extra effort they take to make everything magical however, I wish they would have made the extra effort to have chairs/seating at this event. After a long day in the parks we were so looking forward to relaxing with premium seats for Illuminations. We had previously attended the same party in MK and loved it. Sadly this event is stand up only at bar height tables with most of the tables being on an incline so standing for an hour was almost impossible. Most people ended up sitting on the ground til the show started. Our little one couldn't even see over the table and had to sit on the ground the whole time. Bottom line, if you arrive anywhere around the World showcase an hour before Illuminations you will get far better views right against the fence, be able to at least sit on flat ground and will save yourself $50 a person.

Pros:

good selection of desserts and drinks

Cons:

no chairs

First, it hadn't rained for hours & hours. We called to ask where we should go for the event since it was not listed on the mobile app & was told to go over by Mexico. When we were there, and the event wasn't, they told us Norway. So we went. Nope, not there. They told us to go back to Mexico, so we went back. Still not there. Walked to between the two gift shops by entrance to World Showcase, who then told us due to weather (?) it was moved to the American Pavillion. Boats were idle and my Aunt with a bad hip had to walk completely around to exactly opposite where we were. And with the Food & Wine event going it, there were way too many people, and many drunken fools, the walk was at best tedious and annoying.

Upon getting there, there was a plethora of people milling about and then they started to let us in - we were stopped as we did not have the requisite stickers on our shirts. We said what stickers? Apparently there was only ONE person out there taking names and handing out stickers...so everyone who didn't have one - most - stood in line again. The dessert selections were few - multiple tables dishing out the same items. Nothing at all worth while. The lighting was so low, you couldn't read the signs or make out what you were scooping. After all the walking we did to get to it, they then told us to get to the viewing area we had to walk to the bridge between France and UK. Really? Someone else booked the viewing area nearest where we were.

Since we have to give our cell numbers and make advance reservations, and they have our email, they had to know they were moving the event ahead of time - you don't just move everything on a spur of the moment. Why didn't they contact people with reservations to let us know where the event was now being held. Why take the information if they are not going to use it.

All in all, poor management, cast members were unable to tell us where to go, no communication attempt to attendees, desserts were poor...the ice water was great. They didn't mess that up!

We walked out and on our way exiting EPCOT, found a family of 4 waiting near the bridge to view the fireworks, and we gave them our stickers and told them to enjoy the viewing! We made their day magical at least.

We had this event booked for another trip in October and cancelled that immediately. Fool me once....

Pros:

I didn't have to stay

Cons:

Poor Communication, Poor selection of desserts, Poor lighting

Although the viewing of Illuminations was okay, the area in which the event was held was not the best. It was more public than private as there was only a small rope (1 foot from the ground) that separated the event space from non-event fire works spectators. The event was held in the area between the two gift shops between Mexico and Canada. Also, there was not enough tables to be able to put your drink and desserts down while earting. Lastly, the dessert selection was not wonderful. Only a few selections from various "Countries" was put out.

All in all, the fireworks view was acceptable, but a better location and better selection of desserts would have made the event more enjoyable.

Pros:

Nice Viewing of Illuminations

Cons:

Not enough tables, not a good location for the gathering.
