Where to find and interact with Disney’s Descendants 2 cast at 2017 D23 Expo

The official Disney fan club, D23, is hosting its 2017 Expo at the Anaheim (Calif.) Convention Center from July 14 through 16, and the "Descendants 2" principal cast will be there. Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart and Kenny Ortega are scheduled to take the stage on Friday, July 14. The quartet will reprise their roles as Mal (daughter of Maleficent), Carlos (son of Cruella de Vil), Evie (daughter of the Evil Queen) and Jay (son of Jafar), respectively, and Ortega returns as the director, executive producer and choreographer.

Olaf’s Frozen Adventure Featurette

Walt Disney Animation Studios (WDAS) and Pixar Animation Studios are teaming up this holiday season when WDAS' new featurette "Olaf's Frozen Adventure" opens in front of Disney Pixar's original feature film "Coco" on November 22, 2017. The new trailer for the featurette will run in front of Disney Pixar's "Cars 3," beginning this Friday, June 16, when Lightning McQueen's new big-screen adventure opens in theaters nationwide.

Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe Closing

A recent article in the Orlando Business Journal reported that Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe at Disney Springs, operated by Chicago-based Levy Restaurants Inc., will close for good soon. The site, which encompasses several smaller venues (The Dining Room, Express, Sushi Bar and the Cafe), will begin laying off 193 workers starting August 1. Levy Restaurants is not involved in Puck's plans for Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill, a new location set to open in 2018 that will "modernize the traditional bar and grill concept in a setting inspired by traditional farmhouses with a touch of elegance. In addition, the Journal also speculated that Bongo's Cuban Cafe, owned by singer Gloria Estefan, may soon close.
