Disney Reveals CLOSING DATE for Typhoon Lagoon

Now is an amazing time to visit the Disney World water parks, since both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are open for the summer.

In years past, only one park has been open at a time, so we are excited that guests get to visit either or both of these parks over the summer, especially since one of the water parks just announced an upcoming closure.

Disney has just announced that Typhoon Lagoon will temporarily close starting on September 9th. Disney has not revealed when the park will reopen; however, they have said that Blizzard Beach will remain open for guests to enjoy during the duration of the Typhoon Lagoon closure.

Disney closes the water parks fairly often to complete routine maintenance and work; however, we are very happy they are both open this summer. Especially, because of the amazing summer water park perk.

This summer, Disney World Resort Guests get free water park admission on their check-in day. Since both parks are open, guests can choose whether they want to visit Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach.
