Disney Just Dropped 3 HUGE Hotel Announcements

Is it a normal week in Disney World without SOME kind of announcement? Over the last few years, Disney has been changing like a child going from adolescence to a teen.

BoardWalk Inn

Every day feels like a new vibe change in the parks and at the hotels, and sometimes it’s super fun, and sometimes it’s a little sad. Luckily for us, Disney just dropped 3 new announcements that we think are pretty exciting! In case you missed it, Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is getting some major updates.

Fans of the Boardwalk Inn, come to the front! The Boardwalk Inn is one of Disney’s most popular hotels, even if you aren’t staying there. The spot has delicious food, nightlife, and gorgeous views for anyone looking to stroll along the boardwalk. This hotel has changed quite a bit over the last few years, and now more changes are coming!

The Boardwalk

First, a new lounge called Hurly-Burly is coming to the Boardwalk! This new spot will “welcome guests for fun-filled afternoons and glamorous evenings inside a historic seaside theatre with a vibrant BoardWalk story that spans over a century.” During the day, this spot will be family-friendly, where you can enjoy different activities and trivia with the whole crew. Then at night, it becomes a venue for anyone 21 and older to listen to live music and enjoy coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites.

While we don’t know for sure, we wouldn’t be surprised if this new spot takes over the home of the former Jellyrolls Bar. Long-time fans were seriously sad to see this spot close in April 2025, so we’re hoping this brings back some of what we’re missing at the hotel. The concept art looks very similar to the old stage in the bar, so we think it’s a safe bet that it could go here.

The second big announcement is that Basin is coming to the Boardwalk! Basin is a long-time partner with Disney, and now guests can shop at Basin at the Boardwalk when it finally opens in late 2026. This shop will have a curated collection of handcrafted products made with quality ingredients, including natural soaps, botanical bath salts, bath bombs, body butters, lip salves, shampoo and conditioner bars, and more. Guests will also be able to make their own creations thanks to things like the custom bath tea blending counter, a make-your-own-soap station, and a soap embossing press for a personalized finishing touch.

Finally, Disney even teased a new quick service coming to the hotel! The Boardwalk Inn currently has lots of dining options, but their only “quick service” style spots are the Pizza Window, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, and the Boardwalk Deli, all of which don’t offer seating inside. Disney didn’t reveal too much about the new dining spot, and they said more details will be revealed later this summer.

BoardWalk

Over the past few years, the Boardwalk has changed a lot, but it still holds that very special place in our hearts. We can’t wait to see what else will be revealed once these changes finally kick off. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news, updates, and more.
