REVIEW: Are These Dollywood-Exclusive Desserts Worth Buying?

We recently visited Dollywood in Tennessee and tried some EXCLUSIVE desserts!

We’re always blown away by Dollywood’s incredible rides and theme park experience, but we’re shocked more people don’t talk about the food! There are so many great eats, and we tried some Dollywood-exclusive Dippin’ Dots flavors that we just HAD to tell you about!

Dippin’ Dots are a big ice cream dessert around the country, but they’re even bigger at Dollywood! In fact, you have to travel to Tennessee to get some exclusive flavors that you’d otherwise never have the opportunity to try. We tried TWO of these flavors, and they left some sizable impressions!

Both flavors we tried had the same prices, and you can grab them in a regular size for $8.49, a larger size for $9.99, or in a souvenir cup for $11.99 with refills for $7.49. We tried both of our desserts in the souvenir cup.

First up was the Strawberry Cheesecake Yodots at Tennessee Tornado Dippin’ Dots! We loved how unique this was. It was subtle and creamier than normal Dippin’ Dots, and the cheesecake flavor was more natural than artificial.  None of the main flavors were overwhelming, but we could still tell they were there. This was simple and easy to enjoy, and we loved how it didn’t melt immediately.

Next up was the Big Bear Brownie Batter at Jukebox Junction Dippin’ Dots. We’re sad that it’s exclusive to Dollywood, because it’s quite good! If you’re craving chocolate, this certainly does the trick. These creamy Dippin’ Dots are served with cube-like chunks of chewy brownie batter.

The brownie batter wasn’t the best we’ve ever had, but still pretty good. It reminded us of freeze-dried ice cream with a fun texture. There was a perfect amount of brownie chunks that provided an excellent textual experience, and we found the dessert to be not too rich but still really creamy.

For us, these were both winners, and we can’t wait until our next visit to Dollywood so we can get ’em again!
