Any time we see people spending a fortune on Disney ponchos inside the parks, there’s a part of us that dies a little bit inside.

Not only are these ponchos usually too short to cover your whole body, rip super easily, and cost way more than a poncho ever should, but they’re also just not a great design. Sure, they’ve got the Disney logo on it, which is cute, but that’s about it. You’ll never find anyone on our team wearing a Disney poncho in the park (unless we’re trying it out for science) — instead, you’ll find a lot of us wearing this ONE specific poncho from Amazon!
There are lots of ponchos on the market, but in our experience, the best of the best is the FROGG TOGGS Poncho you can snag on Amazon. The best part, it’s on sale right now!

This is a product that I myself have used many times in Disney World, and genuinely, I can’t imagine using a different poncho. It comes in so many different colors, and it’s a HUGE perk that it’s large enough to cover your whole body AND comes with a bag that you can put it right back inside! This means it won’t get other things in your bag wet once the rainstorm has passed and you can put it away again.

When they say this thing is water resistant, they MEAN it! The water almost falls right off of this material, which makes shaking it off before putting it back in its bag super easy. We recommend hanging it above a shower or bathtub when you’re back at your accommodation just to make sure it’s fully dry, but water won’t cling to it like you find with other ponchos.

I also really love that you can cinch up the top if it’s really raining hard to keep more of your face/hair dry. I’ve done this before in Animal Kingdom when the wind was blowing the rain around like wild, and it really helped keep me dry! The poncho is also big enough that I’ve hidden under it while I was stuck in the Japan Pavilion during EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival to upload footage, and it kept me totally dry!
We’re always bringing you the latest and greatest recommendations to help make your trip better. We try these items out in the park to see if they’ll make your trip easier, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars!
