So, you’re heading to Disney World in 2026 and are already planning to walk miles upon miles in the park? That means you’ll need the perfect shoes.

Now, wait, don’t discount how important this is. Too many times we’ve heard of our friends and family not taking seriously getting the right shoes for the park, and by day two, their feet are blistered and sore, and all the moleskin in the world can’t make the rest of their trip more comfortable. If we’re being totally honest, we’ve even made this mistake ourselves sometimes, and wow, have we regretted it (I personally have made it at least four times, and I hated myself every time). Therefore, before you go into 2026, here are the seven BEST shoes we recommend looking at before you step into the parks in the new year!
You knew it was coming — the HOKA Clifton 10s are very high on our list, and for good reason! We gave these to our reporter, Myranda, who notoriously hates sneakers, and you know what happened? She wears them on days she needs more support now, instead of the shoes she regularly wears!

We love how supportive these are, as well as how many designs and styles they come in. While we love the Clifton 10s, there are also lots of other styles that may better fit your foot. We love shopping online, don’t get us wrong, but if you have a physical store near you that sells HOKAs, we recommend going there to try them on in person and see what the best fit is. Are they expensive? Um, YES, but we’ve found that they’re very worth the price. In fact, a former Cast Member we know told us that these were the ONLY shoes that didn’t make her feet hurt after a 10+ hour shift on her feet.
Very close behind the HOKAs are the Brooks Women’s Ghost 17 Neutral Running Shoes, which we also adore.

We also find these to be extremely supportive, comfortable, and they last a long time, which is perfect for walking around Disney World time and time again. These are also a great choice if you find that the fit of HOKAs isn’t totally for you (which is the case with some feet!) — we recommend trying out the Brooks next!
Need a shoe that’s much more affordable but is still super comfortable for the parks? We can’t get enough of the Avia Women’s Athletic Jumbo Lite Runner Sneakers!

These are sold at Walmart for only around $30, but we LOVE how sturdy and comfortable they are. We find they support us just about as much as the HOKAs do, but for a much better price. Will they last as long as the HOKAs? Maybe not, but neither has fallen apart on us yet, or become uncomfortable, so at this time, they’re pretty on par with each other.
We’re also big fans of the Ryka Women’s Devotion X Walking Shoes, and right now at the time of writing, you’ll even find them on sale for around $80!

These come in TONS of different colors, which we love, because it means that you can find something that is perfect for you. What we really love about these, too, is that you can order them on Amazon, try them out at home first (just walking around inside so you don’t get them dirty), then if you find they’re not for you, you can easily return them. However, we don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
When we asked the team what their favorites were, Emma really wanted us to include the New Balance Women’s 530 Running Shoes, as those are her favorite for the parks, and have been for years!

While she doesn’t live in Orlando anymore, she did for many years, and spent days upon days walking around the parks to film, or to report for the site, so she definitely got lots of use out of them, and still loved them! These are white shoes, so you’ll want to wash them if they get too dirty, but thankfully, that’s pretty easy to do.
Now, if you’re more of a sandals person, I personally totally recommend Tevas! Believe it or not, I didn’t wear open-toed shoes for over a decade, hating the way they felt on my feet, but at Emma’s recommendation, I grabbed a pair of these and love them.

I grabbed the exact same Tevas Emma has, which are the same ones linked here, and I cannot recommend them enough. They’re super comfortable (just make sure to break them in and don’t velcro the straps TOO tight, or else it’ll rub against your skin), and I wear them on any day that seems it’ll be rainy in the parks. I haven’t regretted them once!
If you’re not a fan of straps, but still want open-toed shoes, we also recommend the OOFOS OOahh Recovery Slides!

These are super comfortable, will dry quickly, and are great for those with sensory issues and who aren’t a fan of things in between their toes (hi, hello, that’s me). Be careful when things get slippery around the park after it’s rained, as well as on escalators, but otherwise, we think you’ll be very comfortable.
